1. VIZIO SB3651-E6 SmartCast 36" 5.1 Wireless Soundbar
First of all, a pretty impressive kit consisting of a soundbar and sub, with dual rear speakers from the engineers at VIZIO.
They are all well-designed and built; the rear is wired and the sub is wireless. For dispersing rear waves that can otherwise cause distortion, the soundbar features a decent-sized port.
A full-range left and right pair for front central positioning is housed in this soundbar. They have a nice balance and meaning, and since the dedicated subwoofer takes charge, they are not overworked.
A host of technologies are supported by these soundbars, including DTS TruSurround, DTS TruVolume, and DTS Studio Sound. As well as USB, digital, HDMI, and ARC, it has Wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity.
Its SmartCast feature allows you to monitor the audio easily by downloading the SmartCast application directly from your smartphone. Inside the app, the audio EQ can be changed remotely, meaning you can customise the soundbars for a variety of listening modes, including TV, movies and music, to your tastes.
- + Ported Dedicated Subwoofer.
- + Good speakers in the rear.
- + Highest performing building.
- + Remote App SmartCast.
Why We Liked It - It is an inexpensive 5.1 system with a capable soundbar that supports a number of surround sound systems and sports a variety of connections.
2. Razer Leviathan: Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound
Next with features like a forward-facing, direct surround system set-up, we have a combination-soundbar and subwoofer, built with 2 dual sets of speakers concealed within.
This form of setup is more appropriate for a bedroom or office and is perfect for gaming requirements. While for dimensional audio it does not provide a rear, it is still a phenomenal option.
The full-range drivers of the soundbar measure 2.25 inches but pump out surprisingly rich audio and the subwoofer offers low-frequency authenticity to give users a deeper immersion in the game.
The sub shoots downward and has a cool, flattened pyramid shape. It has a 5.25-inch cone that gives great impact and nominal harmonic distortion to the bass.
A high degree of quality management is integrated into the pair. The grilles are sturdy and still have sleek aesthetics, with the logo of the Razer peripherals in the centre.
They are designed to work with Dolby Virtual Speakers, Dolby Optical, and Dolby Pro Logic II, as well as running Apt-X software, which helps to keep you free of stuttering wireless streams.
For effortless switching between audio profiles, they have 3 equalisation preset modes and sound formats (game, cinematic, and music) built-in.
- + Lightweight Option (no rears).
- + Terrific description.
- + Modes of Preset EQ.
Why We Liked It - In the computer peripherals community, Razer is an industry bar-holder, the soundbar has amazing audio, and the EQ switching gives them great flexibility. See more soundbars here for under $500.
3. JBL Bar 5.1 5.1-Channel Soundbar
This next choice is a little more costly but innovative, as it is a combination of a soundbar and sub, as part of the unique nature of the soundbar, offering 2 optional rears.
Any end of the soundbar itself divides as the dedicated wireless rears from the main central portion to be located. Such battery-powered soundbars charge independently of the core-piece to provide about 10 hours of listening time.
There are 2 more full-range speakers in the sound bar to give you front-on audio. They have great balance and definition and a very strong subwoofer helps them.
The wireless subwoofer is fitted with a 10-inch large-aperture woofer cone and offers impressive depth and room-filling rumbles with bass driven audio without any distortion.
It has a number of inputs, including 4K connectivity for ultra-High-Def listening with 3 different HDMI slots.
It benefits from the SoundShift feature of JBL for fast switching between TVs and other devices. The Bluetooth system is very capable, as it remembers previously paired objects, and is designed to be compatible with most TV remotes, making it easy to monitor.
- + Creative plan.
- + Subwoofer big.
- + Impressive audio, solid.
Why We Liked It - We like the design decisions that offer a tidy storage solution to your rear speakers. The machine is very well-manufactured and the quality of the audio is premium.
4. Samsung HW-N650 Panoramic Soundbar
We are finishing up with the Samsung category's best panoramic soundbar. Although it has been designed with their brand televisions for the best synchronicity, it is as broadly compatible as the other soundbars we have chosen.
This high-end soundbar borrows the best hardware from established Samsung soundbars, but with the inclusion of Acoustic Beam technology, it has expanded its capabilities. It projects audio in a panoramic way, in relation to the visual image on the screen, following the audio path.
With an all-metal build and a weighty frame for greater durability, the soundbar is rectangular and stylishly finished. It comprises three forward-firing speakers with a dual-nature (tweeter and mid-range cones). This gives its own central channel to the sound bar, as well as to the left and right.
In addition, these soundbars have 2 upward-firing tweeters that are guided along the top into 2 pipes with dispersion-holes punched.
In order to fill it acoustically, audio is then guided and bounced around the room. This offers a natural, immersive atmosphere, making the audio replication even more realistic.
It is a very powerful soundbar with 5 soundbar speakers that copes with the mid and high frequencies easily, leaving the rest to the wireless, active independent subwoofer's capabilities.
The subwoofer has an outstanding presence and offers the finest high-impact dynamic bass with inaudible harmonic distortion (less than 0.5 percent ).
It operates at 360 watts, has a dedicated remote control and provides a variety of HDMI ARC, optical digital, 3.5mm audio jack, USB, and Bluetooth communication settings.
- + Solid design.
- + Advanced speaker collection with soundbar.
- + Technology of Acoustic Beam.
It's a fantastic improved device that offers powerful audio that benefits from acoustic beam technology to create realistic surround sound. Why We Liked It
Soundbar Buyers Guide
The perfect way to cover the bases and much more capable than a minimum 2.1 device is a surround sound set-up, without being as grand as a 7.1 setup.
For a smaller living room, it is a much more practical configuration, best for apartments with neighbours you want to keep cute.
What to look for in a soundbar?
A portable soundbar is a smaller, frequently cheaper way to match a surrounding listening experience, and thus the best.
Soundbars can come as a set, to run as a team with dedicated rears or subs, or the soundbar itself may house the entire setup.
If the room you're shopping for is especially small, it's probably best to explore the latter.
Durability and engineering are important in any case, as they will have to last as long as possible and can support surround sound systems such as Dolby TruSound and Dolby Atmos sound.
It would be better to have a separate subwoofer, as a sound bar can't handle bass frequencies very capably; to respond to lower frequency vibrations, the speakers need a larger surface area.
In order to cope properly, the subwoofer should be anywhere between a minimum of 5 (for compact systems) and 15 inches (for wide spaces) in diameter.
To keep your bass free from distortion, it should be constructed with a bass reflex port or similar venting in place.
We have collected and compared what we consider to be five of the new market's best budget soundbar surround systems.
Each of the sound bars provides its own advantages and drawbacks, but we hope that this analysis has highlighted their best capabilities and what each is ideally geared towards.
You would not need a big subwoofer if you are shopping for a bedroom. Some are surprisingly noisy today with smart enclosure designs and you certainly won't find you crank it too much.
If you want to play, you can find that your gaming experience can be tenfold enhanced by soundbars and subs with additional rears.
These bars are more appropriate for giving you audible directional signals as to where the sound in your virtual world comes from.

The sound elevation is taken into account by Atmos, introducing a whole new dimensional quality to the way sound and sound effects are replicated. In 2012, it was launched to cinemas, beginning with only 25 installation sites, with more than 4,000 around today.
